At Guardians, we are building India’s fastest medical emergency network that combines instant response with end-to-end patient care. Our founding team comprises an Orthopaedic surgeon, IIT & IIM alumni. The numbers behind India’s poor emergency medical services are staggering - 98.5% of our ambulances carry dead bodies, we have upto 20X US mortality rates, and more than half of ALL deaths in India are preventable! We are on a mission to improve medical emergency response for 1B+ Indians. We recently closed our pre-seed round led by Antler.

Job Brief

We are looking for certified and trained paramedics who are willing to work out of a Call Center. He/she will be the primary liaison for our 24X7 emergency medical helpline, and will work closely with doctors. This is a critical role that will require the candidate to be the first line of communication in medical emergencies, and make decisions quickly and effectively. This is a highly meaningful role that will have a direct impact on people’s lives.

Responsibilities

• Manage a large amount of inbound and outbound calls in a timely manner.
• Follow communication “scripts” when handling different topics.
• Accurately input and/or confirm info with regard to the customer’s location, type of emergency, etc.
• Ability to make decisions quickly and accurately based on set parameters.
• Willing to go the extra mile to ensure the highest level of patient safety and experience.

Required Qualifications

• Must have completed a paramedic training / diploma course.
• Must be able to converse proficiently in English and Hindi.
• Strong phone and verbal communication skills along with active listening are required.
• Strong customer focus and ability to adapt to different personality types of customers.
• Must be willing to learn and be trained.
• Must be able to maintain focus during slack periods.
• A minimum of a high school degree is required.
• Candidates must be honest and punctual.
